New Claude Features: Dashboards and Motion

Anthropic has introduced two new features in the Claude beta version: Dashboards and Motion. These tools expand the platform's capabilities for data processing and visual content creation.

Database Integration

Dashboards connects to Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake storage systems, as well as Salesforce. The user asks a question in natural language, and Claude generates a dashboard that automatically updates along with the data.

Each number on the chart is interactive: clicking it displays the SQL query used to retrieve it. The date of the last data update is also visible.

Ready-made dashboards can be exported to Grafana, Mixpanel, PostHog, Amplitude, and other BI services.

Code-Based Animation Generation

Motion creates short animated clips from text prompts. The tool is suitable for report summaries, chart animations, or product reviews.

The technology is based not on a video generation model, but on editable code. This eliminates AI-generated humans and artifacts typical of neural network frame generation.

Users can adjust text, numbers, and timing. The result is available for download in MP4 format or can be opened in Adobe, Descript, and Runway.

Access Conditions and Additional Updates

The Dashboards feature is available on paid plans, while Motion requires Team or Enterprise subscriptions. Simultaneously, Docs, Slides, and Design exited beta, becoming available on all plans, including the free one.
