Wearable AI Device Silynxcom Detects Drones by Sound
Israeli company Silynxcom is developing a wearable AI device to detect drones by sound. The system is designed to provide early warning to military personnel of threats.
The core technology already exists in the form of CLARUS II tactical headsets, which amplify motor and rotor frequencies. The new system automates this process using an on-device neural network.
The principle of operation of the new system includes:
- Sound analysis and drone acoustic signature recognition by on-device AI
- Sending a signal to the owner upon detection of a potential threat
- Transmitting alerts to the entire group via mesh network without relying on communication infrastructure
A key goal of the development is protection against fiber-optic FPV drones. Such devices do not use radio channels for control, making them invisible to traditional radio signal search systems. However, the hum of rotors cannot be hidden by fiber optics.
At present, the project is at the prototype stage. The company does not disclose data on detection range, operational accuracy, or system effectiveness in real combat conditions.
