Record Ethereum withdrawal queue reaches 786,000 coins

The queue for withdrawing coins from Ethereum staking has grown to a record 786,000 ETH, which is about 2% of all locked assets. Now, receiving funds requires an wait of more than 13 days.

The network artificially limits the speed of validator entry and exit to approximately 57,600 ETH per day in each direction. This is done to prevent sharp changes in blockchain security parameters.

The sharp growth in the queue is related to actions by MetaMask. Developers discovered a problem in their staking service infrastructure and began withdrawing affected validators to ensure security.
