Neuro-roasting: Creating Promo Videos for Albums
Creating a promo video for Endshipil and TumaniYo's album using neural networks.
Concept and Visual Style
The project idea emerged in July, ahead of the artists' new album release. Since the author had previously created animations, hyper-realism was chosen for this project to create unique visual accompaniment for the release.
Directing proved to be the most time-consuming stage. The main challenge lay in defining exactly how objects should look and move on screen. Finalizing the directorial concept took about two weeks and thousands of tokens in the Weave service.
The production phase took just a couple of days after directing was finalized. The author consciously skipped upscaling, as the video was intended for Instagram, where content undergoes heavy compression anyway.
Technologies and Resources Used
The following tools were used to implement the project:
- Midjourney
- GPT Image 2
- Seedance 2.5
- Weave
Total costs amounted to 4000 tokens in Weave plus the Midjourney subscription fee. As a result, the snippet accidentally fell into the same stylistic range as the artists' official visuals released later.
The project's success attracted the attention of the performers' producer, who offered the author a collaboration. The work demonstrated the effectiveness of modern neural networks for creating advertising materials in the music industry.
