Krea Releases Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro

Image and video generation service Krea has released a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing users to create AI-generated content directly within the professional video editor. This solution eliminates the need to switch between a web browser and editing software.

Key Integration Features

  • Generation of new video shots using Krea's cloud models
  • Creation of missing cutaways and additional footage for editing
  • Generation of backgrounds and video plates for compositing
  • Real-time experimentation with visual styles and scene atmosphere
  • Direct insertion of generated materials onto the Premiere Pro timeline

The plugin is available for Windows and macOS operating systems. All computational processes are performed in the Krea cloud, so a stable internet connection and an active service account are required. Available features and limits depend on the selected subscription plan.

Krea already offers a suite of plugins for other professional Adobe tools and more.

Integration with Photoshop allows for generating and editing images, replacing backgrounds, adjusting lighting, and creating advertising mockups. Results are added to the project as standard layers, with support for Realtime Canvas for faster workflows.

For After Effects, the plugin provides background, texture, and source image generation for motion design. Real-time mode support accelerates the search for the desired composition and style.

Illustrator integration enables the generation of illustrations and logos, as well as converting raster images into editable vector paths via the Image Trace function. The Krea Agent can create shapes, handle text, and organize layers.

The DaVinci Resolve plugin helps create cinematic frames, background materials, and references for color grading. Real-time preview of visual styles is available, but functionality is limited to the Studio version and macOS systems.

Blender integration allows for generating textures, managing lighting, and rendering 3D scenes using Krea models directly from the 3D Viewport without leaving the application.

The professional software market is changing: software vendors must release their own plugins with built-in billing to eliminate intermediaries. The era of paid third-party plugins is ending, as users can now create simple tools themselves.

Adobe has not yet released its own similar solutions, raising questions about the company's strategy. Meanwhile, DaVinci Resolve is taking correct steps toward integrating AI tools.
