Google Launches No-Code Game Creation Platform
Google has introduced the experimental browser-based platform Playground, which allows users to create games using text prompts for artificial intelligence.
Users can describe their desired outcome and immediately test the game, then adjust physics, rules, or characters.
Key features of the platform include:
- Start from scratch, use ready-made prompt templates, or follow step-by-step hints
- Share your game via a link or publish it in the public gallery
- Leaderboards and multiplayer mode available in certain genres
- Powered by Gemini, Nano Banana models, and Lyria music model
The platform is free to use, although Google One subscribers receive an increased token allowance for content generation.
Currently, access is limited: the service is available only to users aged 18 and older residing in the United States.
