Arrest of HEX and PulseChain Founder Richard Hart in Turkey
Turkish police arrested Richard Hart, the founder of the cryptocurrency projects HEX and PulseChain, at his home in Sambla. During a search, significant amounts of cash, expensive watches, gold, and weapons were seized.
Richard Hart was wanted internationally by Finland. He is suspected of tax evasion amounting to hundreds of millions of euros and assault.
In 2023, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Hart of illegally soliciting investor funds. According to regulators, he spent at least $12 million on luxury items, including Ferrari cars, Rolex watches, and a 555-carat black diamond.
Although a U.S. court dismissed the SEC's lawsuit in 2025 due to lack of jurisdiction, the criminal investigation in Finland continues.
