China to create national blockchain network by 2030

Chinese authorities have published a national digital development plan for the period 2026–2030, identifying blockchain as one of the key strategic directions. The document provides for massive investments in technological sovereignty and infrastructure.

The main goal of the plan is to practically complete the creation of a national blockchain network by 2030. At the same time, it is planned to deploy next-generation communication infrastructure and begin commercial implementation of 6G networks.

In addition to distributed ledgers, the strategy covers the development of artificial intelligence and the digital economy. Special attention is paid to integrating new technologies into government processes to improve their efficiency.

The document contains no mention of lifting restrictions on cryptocurrency trading or legalizing mining. The focus remains on state regulation and creating a closed infrastructure for corporate and government tasks.
