Elizabeth Holmes Documentary Film to Release in Russia on November

The documentary film "Vice" about the scandalous Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes will be released in Russian cinemas on November 19. The A24 studio's picture reveals the story of the creation and collapse of one of Silicon Valley's most famous startups.

How the Fraud Worked

Together with co-founder Bill Evans, Holmes created a company promising a medical revolution through blood analysis using just a single drop. In practice, the project involved falsifying reports to attract investors, leveraging Stanford connections to avoid accountability.

After a series of journalistic investigations, the scale of the fraud was exposed. Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in prison for investor fraud.

Film Production

Work on the film began just 34 days before Holmes' arrest. The accused herself invited filmmakers to document every step she took over a period of three years. The directors were Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim.

The project received high praise: the rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 100% among critics and 99% among viewers.
