Russians advised to replace meat with grains and legumes
Experts at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation have suggested that Russians replace meat with more affordable products amid declining purchasing power. Experts note the need to adapt diets for families with limited budgets.
Economist Olga Klimova recommends that low-income families choose cheaper products more often, reduce portion sizes, and seek alternative protein sources. It is not necessary to completely exclude animal products from the diet, but it is important to find ways to optimize expenses.
Plant-based products are rich sources of protein and can be an effective replacement for meat.

To save on the budget, it is also recommended to look for discounts and promotions in stores or consciously reduce portion sizes when cooking.
