Short film "YOU’RE SO BEAUTIFUL" created with neural networks
The short film "YOU’RE SO BEAUTIFUL" explores the theme of a mother's frightening obsession with her seventeen-year-old daughter Emily's beauty. The project was created by Alexandra Bychkova using advanced artificial intelligence tools.
The visual aesthetic of late 1950s America serves as a contrasting backdrop for the unfolding psychological horror. The author aimed to create a world that appears cozy but gradually plunges the viewer into anxiety.
To achieve the necessary emotional depth, the color palette, lighting, frame composition, optics, and editing rhythm were carefully considered. Initially, a three-minute version was created for a competition, which was later refined into a full-length film.
Creating the project required using a suite of neural networks to generate images, animate video, and handle sound.
- Recraft V4, Banana 2 Pro, and Qwen Image 3.0 Pro were used for visual development
- Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5 were applied for video generation and animation
- Suno V6, ElevenLabs, Epidemic Sound, and Seedance Audio 1.0 handled sound and music
Special attention was paid to animation quality: in some scenes, the Seedance 2.0 tool demonstrated the best results in processing movement and details.
