Agibot Robots Fired for Laziness During Trial Shift

G2 Robots Fired for Laziness and Inability to Work

Agibot conducted a large-scale trial of G2 humanoid robots by placing them in a real-world working environment. Six of these robotic machines were tasked with completing a full 24-hour shift in the sales floor.

The robots' tasks included cleaning the premises, checking stock levels on shelves, and general store maintenance. This test aimed to evaluate the readiness of artificial intelligence for routine labor.

The results of the trial were mixed. Some machines performed their duties adequately, but two robots failed.

  • One humanoid failed to navigate around a trash bin, revealing navigation issues
  • The second robot, responsible for inventory checks, lacked initiative and could not keep up with the work pace
  • Management even accused the lagging humanoid of slacking off

The incident sparked widespread discussion online. Many observers noted that robots are becoming too human-like, adopting traits such as laziness and lack of enthusiasm, which were previously considered exclusively human characteristics.
