SkyAI Liquidates Hundreds of Millions in Assets
SkyAI has begun a massive liquidation of its Solana (SOL) cryptocurrency assets. The organization previously held 2 million tokens in reserve, but it was recently confirmed that half of this volume has been divested.
Since the beginning of October, more than 1.57 million SOL worth approximately $175 million have been withdrawn from SkyAI's wallets. Part of the funds were transferred to exchange operators Coinbase Prime and BitGo to ensure trade liquidity.
The company's financial losses exceed $160 million. The average purchase price of the asset was approximately $194 per coin, making the current sale unprofitable for investors.
- The sale of 1 million SOL generated $107 million in revenue
- Continued liquidation of additional company assets is possible
- Proceeds will be used for a share and warrant buyback totaling up to $210 million
The main reason for such aggressive position liquidation is management's intention to conduct a buyback of its own shares and pre-financed warrants at a price of $3 per unit. This strategy aims to strengthen the company's balance sheet amid market volatility.
