Russia May Ban P2P Cryptocurrency Transactions
The Bank of Russia plans to ban direct P2P cryptocurrency transactions between individuals. According to the regulator's clarification, this format of exchange will only be available until July 1, 2027.
New legislation will restrict the ability to transfer cryptocurrency to personal cold wallets. After the established date, operations without the participation of authorized intermediaries will be completely banned.
These restrictions aim to regulate the digital asset market and increase control over financial flows.
