Pilot Conflict Causes Emergency Landing of Flydubai Flight

Pilot Conflict Leads to Emergency Landing of Flydubai Flight

A Flydubai aircraft, operating a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv with 174 passengers on board, made an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport (Saudi Arabia). The decision to land was made after the crew sent a hijacking alert. Fighter jets were scrambled to escort the plane.

The incident occurred due to a conflict between crew members. Later, Israeli authorities confirmed there was no real threat of hijacking, stating that the alarm was triggered by an internal dispute.

Initially, media reported pilots from Russia and Ukraine, but no official confirmation was received from the airline. During the investigation, it was revealed that the captain is a UAE citizen, while the co-pilot is an Omani citizen.

Additional information clarifies the circumstances: pilots from Russia and Ukraine were on board, traveling as passengers. They managed to take control of the aircraft and successfully land in Saudi Arabia.
