New Delivery Rules: Risks of Price Hikes

Delivery prices in Russia may rise due to new requirements for couriers developed by the Ministry of Transport, Vedomosti reports.

The Chairman of the Micromobility Association, Erdman, warns of serious consequences for the market. If e-bike and scooter delivery riders are required to obtain category 'M' driver's licenses, most will leave the market.

Couriers are predominantly migrants without such documents. Only 15–20% of specialists hold valid driver's licenses.

The departure of migrants will lead to increased delivery prices and longer order processing times.
