EU MEP proposes banning visas for Russians

MEPs Dirk Gointzek has proposed that the EU completely stop issuing visas to Russian citizens. This initiative aims to restrict entry for Russians into European Union countries.

The lawmaker's argument is based on statistics: tens of thousands of Russian citizens travel across Europe every month. Gointzek believes it is necessary to halt this practice to increase pressure.

The proposal covers all categories of travelers, including those planning vacations or business trips. Implementing this measure would require changes to the current EU visa policy.
