Mathematician Urges Putin to Raise Teachers' Salaries
Russian mathematician Savvateev has appealed to Vladimir Putin with a proposal to increase teachers' salaries. According to his forecast, in half of the country's regions there will be no teachers in 15 years.
The key problem is that the salaries of physics and math teachers currently do not reach the minimum wage (MROT). At the same time, the teaching staff is aging rapidly.
Savvateev noted that instead of raising salaries, officials are announcing plans to replace school teachers with artificial intelligence.
