List of Dangerous Ledger Wallet Sellers Updated

CryptoQuant analysts have updated the list of potentially dangerous hardware wallet Ledger sellers following an incident involving device compromise in the MediaMarkt network. The list includes major European retailers through which counterfeit or hacked devices may have been supplied.

European Retail Chains

• Germany and Austria: MediaMarkt, Saturn
• France: Fnac/Darty, Boulanger
• Switzerland: MediaMarkt Suisse

The main reason for suspicion is linked to potential device supplies through Aqipa GmbH, which has been Ledger's official distributor since August 2023. Cybersecurity expert Darkfost noted that social media users often provide more detailed information about risks and device verification methods than the manufacturer itself.
