NBA Account Breach: Scam Token Advertisement on Solana

Hackers carried out a repeat breach of the official accounts of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to promote a fraudulent token.

Attackers gained access to the NBA's Instagram profile and posted an advertisement for the scam NBA Coin on the Solana network. The malicious post was promptly removed by the platform administration.

This is not the first such incident involving the league's brand. Earlier in March 2025, hackers breached the NBA's official account on the X social network, where they also promoted a fake NBA Coin cryptocurrency.
