Fraudulent Cryptocurrency Exchange Shut Down in Moscow-City

Law enforcement officers discovered and shut down an underground cryptocurrency exchange operating as a fraud scheme in the Moscow-City business center.

The criminal group specialized in stealing funds from elderly citizens. The investigation revealed that cash stolen from pensioners was accepted at the office.

A key piece of evidence in the fraudsters' activities was an operation involving a courier who delivered a sum of 13.3 million rubles brought by a deceived elderly woman.

During searches of the office premises, two additional couriers transporting funds unexpectedly arrived. Both suspects were detained on the spot.
