Elon Musk to Lead U.S
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced the launch of the "Meridian Project," a research initiative aimed at defining the nature of future wars.
Leadership of the new initiative has been entrusted to Elon Musk, Anduril founder Palmer Luckey, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
This marks Musk's first official role in the Trump administration following his reconciliation with the president after last year's disagreements.
The team will focus on finding, developing, and implementing weapons and systems for future generations, creating war concepts for 2030, 2050, and 2100.
No new political documents are expected from the project. Research results will be presented within 120 days, with some data classified.
Musk's and Luckey's companies already hold major Pentagon contracts: SpaceX handles military launches, while Anduril supplies jammers and unmanned systems.
