Unitree H2-X Security Robot: Power and Autonomy
Chinese company Unitree has introduced the H2-X humanoid, positioned as a security robot. The device demonstrates high physical power and increased autonomous operation time.
Technical specifications
The H2-X is built on the H2 platform. The humanoid stands about 180 cm tall and weighs approximately 70 kg. Full specifications for the new version have not yet been disclosed.
The promotional video demonstrates the following capabilities:
- With a kick, the robot deforms a car door and jumps onto the roof
- Jumps from a height of 4 meters, cushioning the fall with a somersault
- Lifts a car to free a trapped dummy
- Pushes a person away from moving traffic and neutralizes an attacker
The key advantage of the model is up to 8 hours of autonomous operation. For comparison, the base H2 version lasts about 3 hours, which is nearly three times less.
Security and availability
The price and release dates for the device have not been announced. The manufacturer accompanied the announcement with a call to use the robot safely and friendly.
Despite impressive strength indicators, vulnerabilities allowing remote code execution had previously been found in Unitree humanoids.
