Deputy Ostanina proposes banning raves in libraries

State Duma deputy Elena Ostanina called the rave party held at the Russian State Library an act of desecration. The lawmaker believes that such actions require legislative regulation.

Ostanina stated that the State Duma, together with the Ministry of Justice, is already working on a corresponding bill. The goal of the initiative is to clearly define the boundaries of acceptable behavior in cultural institutions.

According to the deputy, the new law will help citizens understand what is good and what is bad in the context of visiting libraries and other places where cultural valuables are stored.
