Clothing with Built-in Touchscreen by Singapore Scientists
Researchers from the National University of Singapore have developed innovative clothing with a built-in touchscreen. The device allows users to view media content, scroll through images, and interact with the interface directly on the fabric.
Display technical specifications include 54 special fibers with LEDs. The matrix resolution is 96x54 pixels at a refresh rate of 30 frames per second.
In addition to video viewing, the screen offers a calculator, a body temperature thermometer, and voice control. The fabric demonstrates high wear resistance: after 50 washes, brightness and image quality remained virtually unchanged.
In the future, researchers plan to integrate artificial intelligence into the clothing. This will allow users to communicate with a digital assistant using garment sleeves as an input interface.
