Citroën brings back the legendary 2CV as a compact electric
French brand Citroën has unveiled a concept for an electric city car, which serves as a modern reinterpretation of the legendary 2CV model. The new vehicle features compact dimensions and unique functional solutions designed for user convenience.
The electric car measures just 3.7 meters in length, making it shorter than the original classic model. It is equipped with a folding fabric roof and includes a radio that can be removed from the cabin to function as a portable speaker.
The manufacturer focused on service accessibility: the car's bumpers can be replaced independently of the bodywork, simplifying repairs. The doors feature special compartments for carrying eggs, paying homage to the historical requirements of the first 2CV version.
- Serial production of the new model is scheduled for 2028
- The expected price of the vehicle is €15,000 (approximately $16,300)
