Canva Lays Off 22% of Staff with Generous Severance
Canva has conducted a large-scale staff reduction, letting go of 1200 employees, which amounts to 22% of its total workforce. Unlike standard practice, the company provided laid-off workers with a substantial support package.
Each former employee received a MacBook, six months' salary, one year of health insurance, and a one-year LinkedIn Premium subscription.
Special attention was given to supporting entrepreneurs: upon application approval, each employee is granted up to $10,000 to start their own business.
