Short Horror "SILENCE" Created Using Neural Networks
The short horror film "SILENCE" was created using neural networks for the international Curious Refuge competition. The project demonstrates the capabilities of AI in creating psychological thrillers.
Project Creators: Daniil Dranenko and Svetlana Litvinskaya
The film was prepared for Halloween with the support of Epidemic Sound. The authors sought to avoid clichéd fears, focusing instead on a pressing atmosphere and unusual psychological techniques.
Technology Stack and Generation Tools
Soul Cinema, Soul 2.0, and Recraft were used to visualize characters and locations. Frame animation was done in Seedance 2.5, while editing and post-production were handled in Adobe After Effects. Soundtrack is entirely sourced from the Epidemic Sound library.
Plot Features
Developers paid attention to the backstory of the conflict. At the center of the plot is a girl pursuing her younger brother after a push. The authors rejected the creation of a random monster, establishing logical motivation for the characters' actions.
