Zelenskyy Imposes Sanctions on Crypto Services Linked to Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing personal sanctions against several cryptocurrency services and companies linked to the Russian Federation. This decision aims to counter attempts to circumvent international financial restrictions.
The list of restrictive measures includes five crypto platforms: Rapira, ABCEX, Aifory Pro, WhiteBird, and MarketCoin. Additionally, the banking network A7 and its representatives have been sanctioned.
Kyiv justifies the imposition of these measures by stating that these entities are used for illegal fund transfers and circumventing existing sanctions against Russia. The restrictions will remain in effect for ten years.
- Blocking access to the websites of the specified services within Ukraine
- Restricting access to the official Telegram channels of the blocked companies
- Freezing assets and prohibiting transactions involving listed individuals
The overall sanction list comprises 27 legal entities and 28 natural persons. These measures apply exclusively to organizations whose activities Kyiv classifies as supporting the Russian economy amid the military conflict.
