Vladivostok Shelter Offers Castration of Former Cat in Exchange
A cat shelter in Vladivostok has launched an unconventional campaign allowing former owners to symbolically "revenge" on their pets. The initiative aims to address the problem of stray animals and promote responsible sterilization practices.
Participation in the campaign requires payment for the animal's one-month stay at the shelter. These funds go towards food and the necessary veterinary procedure — castration or spaying.
After the procedure is completed, the shelter sends the former owner a photo of the cat with a nameplate and an official certificate confirming the surgery. This way, the client can be sure that their former pet received care and medical attention.
The campaign has sparked widespread reaction among cat owners across the country. Many social media users responded to the news with humor, noting that their former beloved pets will now be unable to leave offspring.
