U.S. Treasury Launches Portal for Fraud Reports
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has launched a specialized portal for gathering information on fraud and embezzlement of public funds. The platform allows citizens to anonymously report violations, which are then encrypted and forwarded to relevant federal agencies for investigation.
Rewards of up to $30,000 are available for providing valuable information that helps uncover violations. The program aims to combat abuses and protect the country's budget resources.
According to U.S. authorities, participating agencies have identified fraudulent schemes totaling $260.7 billion since January 2025. $58.9 billion has been recovered, and the estimated annual prevented damage is $72 billion.
