Zelenskyy Imposes Sanctions on Crypto Services Linked to Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing personal sanctions against cryptocurrency services and structures linked to Russia. The measure aims to counter efforts to bypass international financial restrictions.

The restrictions cover five crypto platforms: Rapira, ABCEX, Aifory Pro, WhiteBird, and MarketCoin. The list also includes entities and representatives of the A7 banking network.

Ukrainian authorities justified the decision as necessary to prevent attempts to circumvent sanctions against the Russian Federation. The sanction package includes 27 companies and 28 individuals.

The restrictions are in effect for 10 years. They include blocking websites of the specified services and limiting access to their Telegram channels within Ukraine.
