BitMine Completes ETH Accumulation Ahead of 25x Growth
Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies, announced the completion of its active accumulation phase for Ethereum (ETH) ahead of a potential 25-fold price increase. The company already holds approximately 6 million ETH and plans to halt purchases upon reaching a 5% share of the network's total supply.
To execute its strategy, BitMine needs to acquire an additional 100,000 ETH. Upon reaching the target threshold of 5%, the company will completely cease purchasing digital assets.
Speaking at the TOKEN2049 conference, Tom Lee expressed confidence in the onset of a crypto supercycle, which could be the largest in history. He forecasted that an influx of $1 trillion in new capital could expand market capitalization from $2 trillion to $37 trillion.
Lee also highlighted the prospects of tokenizing traditional finance: a significant portion of assets will move on-chain within the next decade, with Ethereum becoming one of the key networks. The transfer of wealth to the next generation, valued at around $100 trillion, may drive funds from bonds into equities and cryptocurrencies.
