Tether and Kazakhstan's Central Bank Launch Tenge-Pegged Stablecoin
Tether and the Central Bank of Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum of understanding. The parties plan to launch a stablecoin pegged to the national currency, the tenge.
The agreement includes preparing a concept and proposals for a pilot launch of a national digital asset. The initiative aims to develop the country's blockchain economy infrastructure.
Additionally, the parties will explore opportunities for tokenizing real-world assets. The pilot project will be implemented in Alatau city using the Hadron platform.
