A new built-in non-custodial wallet named "Money" has started appearing in the settings of the Telegram messenger. This solution allows users to send GRAM cryptocurrency directly within chats, simplifying the transaction process.
To encourage service usage, Telegram covers the cost of the first five transfers per day. Security keys are held exclusively by the user, and access to funds is restored using a seed phrase.
Parallel operation with the previous solution
The new functionality is being introduced without canceling existing tools. The previous Walt wallet will continue to operate in parallel with the new service, providing users with a choice between different options for managing digital assets within the platform.
