Running Spotify on a potato: the lightweight Spotifast client

Developers have released the open-source Spotifast client, which allows Spotify to run with minimal resource usage. The project ensures instant startup and consumes only 100–250 MB of RAM.

The platform's full functionality is preserved: playlists, search, podcasts, and management via Spotify Connect are available. Users can edit collections and listen to music in the background after closing the application window.

The client supports integration with Winamp visualization, including old skins and an equalizer. The built-in library offers more than 10,000 ready-made presets for customizing the player's appearance.

You can download the official release from the link on the project website.
