Solana Foundation Launches DvP System for Institutional Settlements
The Solana Foundation, in partnership with JPMorgan, has launched the Solana DvP infrastructure designed for institutional settlement. The solution enables banks and exchanges to conduct transactions on a delivery-versus-payment (DvP) principle, ensuring the simultaneous transfer of assets and funds.
A key advantage of the system is the speed of settlement finalization, which takes seconds instead of the traditional 1–2 days. The platform operates with tokenized assets on the Solana network and has already successfully passed an external security audit.
Requirements for Solana DvP were developed based on JPMorgan Bank's experience in securities settlement. In the future, developers plan to introduce confidential settlement functionality to enhance transaction privacy.
