Government Dating in Singapore
Singapore has launched a government-run dating service based on the GovTech platform. Users are invited to find a partner through the official portal, similar to Russia's Gosusugi.
Registration requires linking an account from the local equivalent portal and completing a profile. Algorithms match compatible partners, after which users have three days to decide on a meeting.
Special attention is paid to the first date: the state is ready to cover the costs of the meeting. This measure aims to encourage the population to start families.
The authorities' initiative is linked to the fight against critically low birth rates in the country. The use of digital technologies allows for the automation of finding potential spouses.
The service is available at firstdate.sandbox.gov.sg. The platform is integrated with the state identification system to ensure user safety.
