Self-Employed Banned from Working Over 60 Hours with One Client

Working Time Restrictions for the Self-Employed

Self-employed individuals in Russia are prohibited from working with a single client for more than 60 hours per month. Violating this rule for six consecutive months results in a two-month ban on accepting orders.

The new regulation applies to 12 digital platforms, including marketplaces, taxi services, and delivery services. Couriers and drivers, who typically work through a single platform, will be most affected by these restrictions.

The restriction came into effect today and will remain valid until October 1, 2032.
