Securitize Launches Trading of Tokenized US Stocks on Solana
Securitize has announced the launch of trading for tokenized US stocks on the Solana blockchain. At the platform's launch, shares of major technology and financial corporations are available, including Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Tesla, Google, Amazon, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy, and Palantir.
Each issued token is backed by a real share in a 1:1 ratio. Investors retain all rights of the underlying asset owners, including receiving dividends and participating in votes, if stipulated by the issuer's share terms.
Jump Trading is responsible for ensuring liquidity on the platform. Access to trading will be available to investors from the United States, the European Union, and other permitted jurisdictions after mandatory identity verification (KYC).
In the future, tokenized shares from the Securitize Stocks project are planned to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). This step could integrate traditional financial markets with decentralized finance infrastructure.
