Samsung TVs Collect User Data Around the Clock
A security investigation has revealed a massive privacy issue in Samsung smart TVs. The device functions as a 24/7 surveillance tool, collecting vast amounts of users' personal data.
A TV hacked by hackers demonstrates aggressive information transmission to third-party servers every minute. Even when tracking features are disabled in the device settings, it continues to collect and send data.
The device actively uses its microphone to record everything happening in the room without interruption. Additionally, the TV constantly transmits the owner's geolocation and IP address.
- Scanning all content viewed by the user on the screen
- Checking the list of all devices connected to the home Wi-Fi network
Collected data arrays are sent to approximately 400 Samsung partners. This creates serious risks of personal information leaks and violations of smart TV owners' privacy.
