Russian Ministry of Finance prepares roadmap for asset tokenization
The Russian Ministry of Finance has begun developing a roadmap aimed at tokenizing real assets. This process involves converting rights to tangible and intangible objects into digital form, opening up prospects for attracting investments worth several trillion rubles.
The strategy covers three key directions for integrating blockchain technology into the country's economy.
- Tokenization of rights to movable property using a special legal regime.
- Digitalization of corporate rights, including the ability to issue tokens confirming shares in limited liability companies.
- Conversion of certain commodities exchange products into digital format.
An important aspect of the legislative framework is the permission to issue Digital Financial Assets (DFAs) on public blockchains. This measure aims to significantly increase the liquidity of instruments and expand access to them for a wide range of investors.
Official details of the plan are published on the ministry's website.
