Russian Coders Banned in Claude

Bans in Claude affect Russian developers

Russian developers have faced a new wave of bans in the Claude service. Prohibition notices are arriving not only to regular users but also to top managers of major tech companies.

The first large-scale campaign to delete accounts took place as early as May this year. The official Anthropic support FAQ explicitly states the reason for such restrictions.

The main reasons for bans include:

  • Creating accounts from countries not supported by the platform
  • Violation of the service's terms of use

Anthropic emphasizes the importance of adhering to geographic restrictions during registration. Users from unsupported regions risk losing access to artificial intelligence tools.
