Republicans Plan to Raise the U.S
U.S. Senate Republican Leader John Thune stated that Congress may consider raising the national debt limit after the upcoming elections.
The current debt ceiling stands at $41.1 trillion. According to estimates from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the existing limit will last until 2027.
Republicans are discussing raising the limit immediately to a level sufficient through 2029.
