PlayStation games with Russian covers have skyrocketed in price

Collectible editions of PlayStation games with Russian covers are showing multiple growth in cost on the secondary market. Unlike standard versions, localized discs have become an object of investment interest.

Examples of prices for popular projects

The price difference between regular and Russian editions reaches multiple values. On classifieds sites, new copies of Resident Evil 6 for PS4 without localization sell for around 1800 rubles. A version with a Russian cover is valued at 14–15 thousand rubles.

A similar situation is observed with The Last of Us Part I for PS5. A foreign edition costs approximately 2500 rubles, while a copy with a Russian cover will cost the buyer 6000 rubles.

Growing demand driven by Sony's abandonment of physical media

Interest in physical discs is rapidly growing against the backdrop of the manufacturer's decision to stop releasing game copies on discs. Collectors are actively buying up remaining print runs, expecting further value growth.

Prices for rare copies from previous years are especially high. According to experts, some PS3 editions with a Russian cover have already reached the 30,000 ruble mark.
