OpenAI Employee Used AI to Install a Listening Device

OpenAI employee Abdulrahman Alfozan installed a listening device in the company office. The act was committed to obtain corporate secrets.

The investigation revealed the use of artificial intelligence by both sides of the conflict.

Alfozan, the only employee from Saudi Arabia, used AI to configure an audio recorder. In turn, OpenAI used machine learning technologies to detect the hidden device.

Following the incident, the employee was immediately fired and arrested by the FBI. Preliminary data indicates an attempt to steal confidential information.
