MTS launches scam protection for seniors

MTS has launched a free service to protect elderly people from telephone scammers. Relatives receive notifications about suspicious calls via the 'My MTS' app.

How protection works

The operator has implemented an instant alert mechanism. If a scammer calls an elderly subscriber, relatives receive a push notification or SMS. This allows for rapid response to potential threats and prevents financial losses.

Setup via the app

The feature is activated in the 'My MTS' mobile application. The user needs to create a family group and add a close relative with the 'elderly' role. The setup process requires no special technical knowledge and takes just a few minutes.

Technology effectiveness

The new feature is based on the 'MTS Defender' service technology. This year alone, the system has blocked over 85 million dangerous calls targeting pensioners. The solution is free for all operator subscribers.
