Ministry of Health Registers Allergarda Vaccine Against Pollen Allergy
The Ministry of Health has officially registered the "Allergarda" vaccine, intended for the treatment of pollen allergy. The drug was developed to teach the immune system to block allergens before a reaction begins.
Mechanism of Action
The formulation includes proteins with fragments of birch and apple allergens. This allows not only to combat pollinosis but also potentially help with cross-food allergies.
Phase II clinical trial results showed a 24% reduction in symptom severity and medication need compared to placebo. The vaccination schedule involves five injections at monthly intervals before the start of the pollen season.
