MetaMask has confirmed a security incident affecting part of its internal infrastructure. No immediate threat to user funds in the wallet has been identified at this time.
As a preventive measure, developers have begun removing affected validators from the non-custodial staking system.
The incident also impacted Lido protocol validators managed through MetaMask's infrastructure. Holders of stETH tokens are not required to take any additional actions.
