Majority of STRK Stakers Support Starknet's Move to L1

Starknet Gains Majority Support for L1 Transition

STRK token delegates and stakers overwhelmingly voted in favor of continuing research into migrating the Starknet network to its own Layer 1. The voting process, which involved active community members, demonstrates a high degree of consensus regarding the importance of this technical step.

Voting statistics reflect the absolute dominance of the 'yes' position among voters. The gap between supporters and opponents of the infrastructure migration is colossal, indicating unity of opinion among key asset holders in the ecosystem.

  • Votes 'For' totaled 291.5 million units from STRK stakers and delegates.
  • Votes 'Against' amounted to only 155,200 units, equivalent to 0.05% of the total.

The final stage of voting is scheduled for October 22. The results of this period will be decisive for determining the future development strategy of the protocol and implementing the plan to transition to an independent transaction execution layer.

Transitioning to L1 will allow Starknet to increase scalability and reduce transaction fees while maintaining a high level of security through STARK proofs.
